This week’s blogger of the week, Cyndi Danner-Kuhn, wrote a short, but sweet piece entitled, Trust our Classroom Teachers! Please! which illustrates how the creative freedom of educators are often limited due to poor policy and/or district mandates.

She urges that cyber filtering has gone to extremes and is actually limiting the creativity of our students and educators. She insists, “What happened to TRUST!  Educators are obviously trusted to teach the kids, and apparently not trusted to decided what is appropriate when it comes to using the internet in their classrooms.”

Cyndi is a a faculty member and the Education Technology Integration Coordinator for the Kansas State University College of Education and writes regularly on her blog, Technology Bits, Bytes, and Nibbles: News, Tips, Tricks & Resources for Integrating Technology into Teaching.

She addresses topics related to technology integration, distance learning, education, business and twenty-first century literacy in short, easily digestible posts. Her website contains great youtube videos and awesome links such as The Amazing Web 2.0 Projects Book.
